Maplekooi is an emerging Canadian Nederlandse Kooikerhondje breeding program focused on preservation, education, and responsible breed stewardship. Our name reflects both sides of that purpose: Maple for our Canadian roots, and kooi for the traditional Dutch eendenkooi where the Kooikerhondje historically worked. We hope to help more Canadians discover and understand this rare Dutch breed while contributing carefully to its future through health, temperament, structure, and genetic diversity.
