In 2025, we brought De Piepsche Demy, “Kenya,” home from Germany after exploring European bloodlines. In a rare breed with a limited gene pool in North America, we felt it was important to begin with fresh, carefully selected genetics. Kenya brings bloodlines not currently found in Canada, adding valuable diversity to the population here.

She is our hopeful foundation female. With her remaining hip evaluation planned once she reaches two years of age, we hope to plan Maplekooi’s first litter for Spring 2027, pending successful clearance.

Our puppies will be raised in our home as part of our family, with an emphasis on early socialization and development using Puppy Culture principles. We hope to thoughtfully match each puppy with a home that understands and appreciates the Kooikerhondje.
